The mission of Grateful Americans Charity is to provide resources for programs that assist in the healing of Veterans. The PTSD Foundation of America aims to bring hope and healing to veterans and their families suffering from the effects of combat-related post-traumatic stress. They are a 501(c)(3) organization that began as a grassroots effort in 2005 with a group of concerned volunteers who searched for homeless veterans on the streets of Houston with a vision and passion for drastically reducing the veteran suicide rate through programming and outreach services. Together, we are making a difference!
PTSD Foundation of America is a non-profit organization dedicated to mentoring to our combat Veterans and their
families suffering from PTSD. Many warriors are coming home with visible wounds; countless others are
coming
home with wounds we cannot see from witnessing the horrors of war. We
feel
it is our duty as Americans to help these heroes and their families.
SEMPER FI & AMERICA'S FUND cares for our Nation’s critically wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans, and military families. Supporting all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, we provide one-on-one case management, connection, and lifetime support. Today. Tomorrow. Together.

Since its inception in 2007, the Mayor’s Office of Veterans & Military Affairs has steadfastly continued its mission to advocate on behalf of Active Duty, Guard/Reserves, Veterans and the larger Military-Affiliated Community (Spouse/Caregiver and dependent children) and to coordinate/facilitate access to resources through Federal, State and local initiatives and programs.
TEXVET is the state clearinghouse for trusted information, resources, data, technical support, and research relevant to service members, veterans, and their families, and those who serve them. They maintains a best-in-class resource database for service members, veterans, and their families, that is updated on a regular basis and fully audited once per year. TexVet makes it easy for service members, veterans, and their families to find what they need and for veteran-serving organizations to reach the state’s military and veteran communities. TexVet helps to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world application by connecting communities with the scientific investigators who serve them.
VET CENTERS
are community-based counseling centers that provide a wide range of social and psychological services, including professional counseling to eligible Veterans, service members, including National Guard and Reserve components, and their families. Counseling is offered to make a successful transition from military to civilian life or after a traumatic event experienced in the military to include military sexual trauma (MST). Individual, group, marriage and family counseling is offered in addition to referral and connection to other VA or community benefits and services. Vet Center counselors and outreach staff, many of whom are Veterans themselves, are experienced and prepared to discuss the tragedies of war, loss, grief and transition after trauma.
